The algorithm used to perform this analysis is based on the average taxi type, average taxi fuel consumption, average spend cost per km per state.
The average spend per km per state is determined using figures from the Australian Taxi Industry Association (December 2006) and using greenhouse gas emissions coefficient per fuel type we are able to calculate the greenhouse gas emissions for your taxi travel based on your spend and the state you travelled.
